Title:  Job Developer
Program: Placement Services

Summary: The Job Developer is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with employers who hire or have the potential to hire LSG clients. He/she will also develop relationships with employment-related community resources including employment agencies and Voluntary Agency staff. He/she will share information about job vacancies, the job market, employment trends, and employer expectations with job counselors.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, marketing, public relations or other related field. Minimum of two years of previous work experience in the field of employment services including experience developing and maintaining employment relationships. Minimum of two years of supervisory/management experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have demonstrated, documented experience and performance in planning, organizing and leading projects, including good time management skills. Must have the ability to balance the needs of the client and employer. Must write, read and speak the English language fluently. Demonstrated ability to work with people from a variety of cultures and ethnic backgrounds. Ability to work in partnership with other team members. Ability to set limits and maintain the helping role of the practitioner and to intervene appropriately to meet the needs of the persons served or other family members. Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word and Outlook. Must own a personal multi-passenger vehicle and hold a valid Georgia Driver’s license and appropriate personal auto insurance.

Job development experience in metropolitan Atlanta and an in depth knowledge of current employment environment would be helpful along with experience with international persons and human services programs. Bilingual in English and Spanish and database management skills are desired.
